In the village of Byera many single mothers lacked the skills needed to find employment. This skills training project targeting 20 young women took a three tiered approach by providing training in bread and biscuit making, parenting skills for young mothers and involvement in community projects. Two participants went on to take agro processing courses to further their skills. The group still comes together for community work and visit the elderly at Christmas and distributes care packages. The Trusts thank VInsave for managing this project which has made an immense difference in this community.
