This was the first collaboration between the Mustique Charitable Trust (MCT) and Vincy Table Tennis Foundation (VTTF) with the MCT funding the VTTF initiative in setting up a training and development programme for coaches and 100 children and teenagers.
The One-Year Programme initiated in June 2017 and was facilitated by VTTF at Sandy Bay Government School and Sandy Bay Secondary School, located in the rural village of Sandy Bay on the North Windward side of St. Vincent
Grant funding from the Mustique Charitable Trust enabled the following outcomes from this programme:
- Six (6) Tibhar Professional All Weather Table Tennis Boards, four (4) locally-made Table Tennis Boards, 40 Table Tennis Rackets and 288 Balls were distributed to Sandy Bay Government School and Sandy Bay Secondary School
- Six (6) Adults were certified in Table Tennis Training by International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Expert
- 3-Day Summer Camp training was held for 40 children and teenagers
- Teacher Training Weekend Programme
Over 100 children and teenagers participated in this Table Tennis Programme, which included After School Sessions and Holiday Sessions for a total cost of US$4,540
