Since 1963, the St. Benedict Day Nursery & Children’s Home has been providing the care and comfort for underprivileged children and young people of St. Vincent & the Grenadines who are disabled, abused or orphaned.
The administration of the institution falls under the guidance of the Corpus Christi Carmelites (Sisters) with Sister Nyra Anne Pajotte as the Administrator of the Home.
Sister Nyra and her competent and caring staff are dedicated to providing a safe and loving environment to nurture and preserve the physical, psychological, social, educational and spiritual health and development of these children so that each child can develop their individual potential.
The Mustique Charitable Trust has supported St Benedict since its Grant Programme got underway in July 2009. Areas of assistance have included musical instruments, clothing and kitchen utensils. Currently MCT provides annual financial assistance with monthly groceries & toiletries, staff stipends, counselling and physiotherapy.
