Help for the Terminally Ill
Packages of groceries and toiletry items sponsored by the Trusts are delivered by House of Hope during home care visits to the terminally ill. This grant to House of Hope also paid for the training of volunteers to ensure that quality care is received during home visits, allowing the primary carers some well-deserved time off.
Adults from all over St Vincent use free screening sessions administered by the Retired Nurses Association on behalf of the Trusts. The most severely affected clients are referred to their clinic or doctor. Since 2012 over three and a half thousand persons have been tested with lives saved and amputations prevented.
