With a major clean up required especially in the Red and Orange Zones after the volcanic eruptions, the UK Friends of the Mustique Charitable Trust approved funding of a Heavy Duty Cleaning Equipment initiative. The following equipment has been procured to help selected organisations with national and community clean up:

  • 60 Water Pumps 7.0 HP with suction and lay flat hoses
  • 26 Single Phase Diesel Generators
  • 26 Tripod Site Light
  • 20 High Pressure Washers
  • 20 High Pressure Washers
  • 16 Wet & Dry Industrial Vacuums

Stickers displaying “Donated by UK Friends of the Mustique Charitable Trust” were applied to the equipment. Residents are still awaiting the “All Clear” to return to the Red Zones on a full time basis. However, Roads, Building and General Services Authority (BRAGSA) in conjunction with National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) moved from the Orange zones to begin the major clean up in the Red Zones around mid-July.
